BS/EN Fire Rated Duct

DS ventilation are certified suppliers and installers of Fire rated duct systems to both BS and EN standards depending on the specific parameters required for each project.

 

BS476

Although the BS standard has been superseded by the new EN standard, we can still supply and install the BS system when requested by a consultant’s specification or where restrictions on a project don’t allow for EN

 

EN 1366-1

This standard is used for Kitchen Extract and pressurization systems. This is primarily the fire test for Ventilation ducts and Kitchen Extracts.

EN 1366-8

Multi compartment smoke extract systems. The tests for smoke extract ductwork multi-compartment is EN 1366-8. During the test, the ductwork is insulated, but the results are derived from the EN 1366-1 fire tests. This can be used in single compartment and multi-compartment.

EN 1366-9

Single compartment smoke extract systems, this is only suitable for single compartment. Do not use in a multi-compartment environment.
